I am Violeta Martinez a junior at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I am majoring in Communication with a minor in Business. I also represent the women’s tennis team of U of I, it’s a privilege to represent them and I enjoy it immensely. Tennis has been apart of my life since I was 3 years old it has opened so many different opportunities in my life. My life would be completely different if I didn’t play tennis, it has allowed me to receive scholarships from world known institutions such as the Rafa Nadal tennis academy in Spain in which I spent my high schools year studying and playing tennis. I’ve traveled the world at a young age understanding and getting to know different cultures. This has opened my eyes and I am so incredibly happy to be now be representing the university of Illinois.
