Hi! My name is Sophia Ewalefo. I am a D1 Volleyball Athlete currently playing for the University of New Orleans. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV where I attended Bishop Gorman High school and won two state championships for the volleyball team. My senior year I also got announced on the MaxPreps 2021 All-American Team. I am Nigerian and Mexican and am blessed to have 5 older siblings to help guide me through growing up. I began playing volleyball when I was little because I loved watching my older sister play in high school and eventually D1 in college. Since I started playing I’ve done nothing but work to become better and continue to grow to love the sport more and more with every new season. I am so excited to see where my athletic journey leads me and the goals that I will accomplish!
