Adapt & Conquer. Two words that have become a key part of my journey that started in 2012. Necrotizing Fasciitis may have taken my leg, but it created a beast I had the choice to sit back & let life pass me by or take this new challenge & do something great. I picked the latter. Sports have been my life whole life. Between playing & coaching, I knew that I wanted to continue on the path of sports even after the loss of my leg. In 2018 I was looking for a way to do something great. I found powerlifting. When I first started I was doing full ability comps. Para Powerlifting just made sense. Thus began the next chapter. I have competed domestically, but I am ready to start the International circuit, & start my way to achieving the ultimate goal of the Paralympics 2028 in LA. First stop is the Sr. World Championships in Dubai, August 2023! I am a mom of a 18 year-old son that each day reminds me of how unstoppable one can be if they learn to ADAPT & CONQUER!
