Hi, I’m Moustafa Abdelaal, I am a Division I track and field athlete at New Jersey Institute of Technology, specializing in middle-distance events. After spending most of my life as a competitive soccer player, I transitioned to track and field during my junior year of high school and immediately made an impact by helping break a 51-year-old 4×400m school record as an anchor leg. Fully committing to the sport my senior year, I earned All-Conference and All-Division honors, broke six school records, and was named team MVP and captain. Now as a freshman at NJIT, I continue to compete at a high level and recently broke the university’s 600m school record. Alongside athletics, I study Mechanical Engineering and am a member of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), balancing elite performance with academic excellence.
