Maximus Max Steelman, born February 2, 2009, in San Diego, California, is a rising American soccer talent and elite student-athlete recognized for his performance at the highest national and international youth levels. He is committed to Duke University on a full athletic scholarship beginning Fall 2026 and is currently a member of the U.S. U-17 World Cup Qualifying team for CONCACAF. At the club level, Max competes as a center forward within the LA Galaxy Academy system and is also part of LA Galaxy II. Known for his versatility, he excels across the front three, playing effectively as a striker or on either wing, with a game defined by dynamic attacking movement, pace, technical quality, and clinical finishing. Max’s progression within the U.S. Soccer pathway began early and has been marked by consistent impact on the international stage.
