I’m a proud Latina woman who gave sport a second chance to pursue the Olympic dream. Modern Pentathlon saved my life as I overcame eating disorders after transitioning from the Mexican National Artistic Swimming Team to Pentathlon, building a path of resilience and personal growth while learning five new disciplines from scratch. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, and raised in Mexico City, with half of my family in each country, I’ve had the privilege of gaining a deep understanding of both cultures, truly experiencing the best of both worlds. I’m a 24/7 dog mom of Lucas (my shitzu) and the older sister of 3 beautiful girls. I love helping others through the values of sport, that’s why I’ve started a social program in MX, Inquebrantables seeks to demonstrate that true victory is not solely defined by medals, but by the capacity to reinvent oneself and remain steadfast, even in the most challenging circumstances, specifically designed for girls in adoption situation to empower them.
