I’m a freshman Division I track and field athlete at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), majoring in Kinesiology. I primarily compete in triple jump and the 400m, and I’ve been involved in track for about 7 years. Throughout my athletic career, I’ve been a three-year team captain, broken both a school and meet record in triple jump, and qualified for the Illinois State Championships. What makes me unique is my determination and willingness to push myself even when things aren’t going the way I planned. I’ve dealt with injuries, setbacks, and plenty of challenges, but I’ve never let those things stop me from working toward my goals. I’m extremely passionate about improving myself, not just as an athlete but as a person. Outside of track, I love fitness, lifting, being outdoors, and anything that allows me to be creative. I’m also really passionate about helping others and hope to pursue a career in sports medicine.
