I’m Lauren Mingo, a basketball player who’s been the underdog my whole life. I’ve had to fight for every opportunity, and that drive has pushed me to become a leader, earn awards like defensive player of the week, chick-fil-a player of the week,second team all conference and I also led my team in most categories scoring (15.4 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg), assists (108), steals (75) and blocked shots (19). I also became the 20th player to reach the 1,000-point mark as a junior, and I prove myself on and off the court. I just want the chance to be seen and to inspire others who feel overlooked.
