My name is Kayla Knowles, and I am a volleyball player at Georgia Southern University with plans to pursue a career in elementary education. I’m originally from Denver, Iowa, and I take a lot of pride in the hard work, values, and sense of community I grew up with. Being a student-athlete has taught me discipline, teamwork, and leadership, which I hope to carry with me into my future classroom. Outside of volleyball and academics, I love spending time outdoors, traveling to new places, and trying new foods. I also enjoy cooking, staying active, going on coffee runs, listening to music, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I’m always up for new experiences, whether that’s exploring a new city, going on an adventure, or just enjoying a sunset with the people I care about most.
