I am a heavyweight wrestler at Minnesota State University, Mankato, continuing my academic and athletic career after transferring from Upper Iowa University. I was born in a refugee camp in Nigeria, where my parents sought safety after fleeing their home country of Liberia during the civil war. My journey eventually brought me to Des Moines, Iowa, and later to Mooseheart Child City and School, where I was given the opportunity to grow, learn, and develop the foundation of resilience that guides me today. Wrestling has been central to my personal growth, instilling discipline, perseverance, and leadership. Off the mat, I am pursuing a degree in Social Studies Education with the goal of becoming a high school teacher and wrestling coach, so I can give back to future generations by teaching both in the classroom and on the mat.
