I am a 22-year-old sophomore at Umpqua Community College (UCC), balancing the roles of a dedicated student-athlete and a proud stay-at-home mom to a wonderful baby boy. As a pole vaulter on the women’s track and field team, I bring the same focus, resilience, and drive to my academics and family life that I do to clearing the bar. My ultimate academic and professional goal is to become a special education teacher. I am deeply passionate about creating inclusive, supportive learning environments where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Managing the demands of motherhood, college coursework, and collegiate athletics has uniquely prepared me for the classroom, teaching me invaluable skills in patience, adaptability, and time management. Whether I am competing on the track, studying for my degree, or raising my son, I am motivated by a desire to build a meaningful career dedicated to helping children overcome obstacles and thrive.
