Hi my name is Indiah (Indigo) Hutchinson, I am a rising freshman at Howard University. I am a student-athlete blessed to be playing D1 basketball on the Howard Women’s Basketball Team. I am from Hammond, Indiana. I grew up around the NWI Region. I love to play chess, draw, and write poems. I come from a big family I am the youngest out of 9 children. I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters. My sister Nakyla and my brother Ta’Shawn passed away before I was born. Wrestling was my first sport before basketball, I was the first female to with the city-state championship in Hammond, Indiana. I led my high school team to win its first ever sectional championship, the school at the time was only built for 5 years.
