My name is Felikss Gavars, a senior forward on the Minnesota State University Ice Hockey team. I am 23 years old from Riga, Latvia, but left home at 15 years old to go to high school in the United States, in order to pursue my dream of playing college and professional hockey. I enjoy playing golf and tennis during my free time as well. I am a hard working, friendly, and outgoing person, who is not afraid to connect with new people whether it is on the phone or in person. Here in MSU, I am pursuing an applied leadership degree with more of a focus on economics as well as statistics, as I enjoy these two areas of study, and if not for hockey I would like to see myself working in one of those fields.
