I am more than just an athlete, I am me before anything. Being a collegiate athlete comes with many responsibilities, being a role model to the youth and providing “light of hope” to young kids, overcoming difficult situations, and how to manage your emotions are all the skills I hope to leave a positive impression on being an athlete with a large platform of attention. Having a larger platform helps bring awareness to these situations and I plan on using the this platform to set the example instead of just leading by example.
