I’m Eli, a college basketball player at Montana Western in Dillon, Montana. Basketball is a huge part of my life, and family, faith, and friends keep me grounded. I thrive on competing, putting in the work, and being part of a team that pushes each other to get better every day. I pride myself on being coachable throughout the ups and downs of a collegiate career. Living with Type 1 diabetes adds another layer to being a collegiate athlete. It takes planning, discipline, and constant attention to my body—both on and off the court. Nutrition, sleep, training, and recovery all play a role in managing my diabetes and staying healthy through the demands of a college basketball season. My goal is to make the most of my collegiate career while showing other athletes with Type 1 diabetes that anything is possible with Type 1. I’m excited to connect with brands that share my commitment to sports, health, and helping others pursue what they love.
