Des Straughton University of Illinois Football I’m a freshman safety at the University of Illinois, bringing a mix of hard-hitting physicality and ball-hawking instincts to the field. Football has shaped me into a competitor and leader, but I’m just as committed to growth off the field — staying grounded in my faith, pursuing academic success, and finding ways to impact my community.
