Dago Pena, born in the Dominican Republic promising pitcher with a 90 mph fastball turned basketball enthusiast. Post HS, Pena played for Marshall's Thundering Herd in Huntington WV, D1 small forward. Pena averaged 6.3 points per game, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists leading him to enter the 2012 NBA draft. In 2012 Peña was signed to Maldonado BBC in Uruguay. Peña's career went on the road to Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Columbia and Parana Argentina. Peña's last 11 years have been spent across the globe: Club Básquet Coruña, Metros de Santiago, FC Barcelona Bàsquet B , Club Baloncesto Estudiantes, S.A.D., BC Pieno žvaigždės, Club Baloncesto Breogán, S.A.D., Aix Maurienne Savoie Basket and Club Deportivo Estela in Torrelavega, Cantabria. Currently Pena is on sabbatical working as a varsity assistant coach and head of player development. Peña's back at Charlotte high finishing the 2023-24 season back to back district champs, regional champs and appearance at the final four.
