As an army brat I’ve moved and lived in different parts of the globe, learning about other cultures. Being an army brat taught me a lot more, such as the importance of community, and connections. Both are important because with a strong sense of community, and plenty of connections you can achieve the impossible. As someone who’s worked towards a business administration degree for three years then switching to economics I’ve seen that the concepts about community and connections can be applied there as well. A strong sense of community prompts everyone to worker harder to help each other. Where as plenty of connections can help you to find resources that you may have not been able to find yourself. Going into my fourth year I want to be able to use the platform of college athletics to promote my beliefs by supporting people who helped me along my journey such as, military veterans, the schools I’ve attended, and of course my family.
