My name is Blake Rodewald, and I am a freshman collegiate swimmer for Oklahoma Christian University. I am also a part of the University Central Oklahoma’s ROTC program as a 4 year national scholarship winner. I am from a small town in Southwest Nebraska called McCook, and I am the first male swimmer to go to the collegiate level in anything higher than JUCO, and I am so grateful with the opportunity God has given me. I am a firm believer in Christ, which was a major motivation to choose Oklahoma Christian. I am a Social Studies Education major, and after school I hope to become a high school history teacher and swim coach while serving in the Army National Guard. Over the last few years I’ve seen far too many close friends struggle with mental health in various forms, and I want to use any platform that God has or will give me to spread awareness for these struggles in our world.
