Alfredo Cardona is the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) in Springfield, Massachusetts. Since taking over the program in the Fall of 2023, Cardona has worked relentlessly to rebuild the STCC Rams, instilling a culture of toughness, accountability, and excellence both on and off the court. Hired late in the Fall of 2023, Coach Cardona had no opportunity to recruit prior to his first season. The Rams struggled that year, finishing with a 2–22 record as Cardona laid the groundwork for a long-term rebuild. In his second season (2024–25), finished 11-12, after recruiting 14 new players, Cardona led STCC to a 9-game turnaround, one of the top three most improved teams in the nation among all NJCAA programs. That turnaround resulted in STCC: Earning a District Playoff berth for the first time since the 2021–22 season Achieving the program’s most league wins since the 2019–20 season.
